Instructions
These instructions aim to provide a quick guide to using Graphing Solution
Set page defaults
Set page defaults has four inputs:
Page title: This sets the title for the outputted document.
Your name: Added to the bottom of the outputted document so that you can claim the work as yours.
Background color: This sets the background color of the outputted document. The default is white.
Foreground color: This sets the text color of the outputted document. The default is black.
Add graph
Add graph is used to add a graph the options are:
Graph title: This sets the title of the graph.
Choose amount of data points: This sets the number of data points there are on the graph. A common use is dates or times.
Choose amount of data values: This sets the number of data sets. For example comparing the sales of two products on the same axis.
Data entry table: There are three types of cell in the data entry table, it is available only after both options above have been set
Data value title: This is used to enter the name of the data set that is being used.
Data point: This is used to set the axis label, eg Date or time
Data value: This is the value as a number of the data set at the data point
Graph type: This chooses the type of graph, note that a pie graph takes only the right most column.
Add table
Add table is used to add a table to the output, the possible options are:
Number of rows:
Number of columns:
Table: The table appears for editing after you click set table size.
Top row: The top row of the table is the header and is used for the title
Rest of the cells: Simply fill in the rest of the cells with anything you want
Remove item
Remove item removes an item from the document, the options are:
Item name: The item name is either the graph title or the top row of a table.
Preview document
Preview document shows you a version of the document.
Export document
Export document saves the document in a html format. The options available are:
File name: The file that the document will be saved to, note it will not overwrite previous files.
